Brian Foley is the author of The Constitution (Black Ocean, 2014) for which he was selected as a 2014 "New American Poet" by the Poetry Society of America. His poems have appeared in PEN American, Verse Daily, Boston Review, Denver Quarterly, jubilat, The Volta and elsewhere. He received his B.A. from Emerson College and his M.F.A from The Program for Poets and Writers at UMass-Amherst. He has worked as a bouncer, an ice cream man, a laborer, an event director, a breakfast cook, and a lecturer. His primary interests include exploitation cinema, poems, hauntology, horror films, philosophy, and music. Born & raised in Massachusetts, he currently lives in Denver where he is a doctoral student at the University of Denver Creative Writing Program.
